Problem
Civilization VI is a complex strategy game where players often face information overload and decision fatigue. Existing tools are fragmented and lack real-time, personalized support, making it hard for players to optimize their strategies efficiently.
Discovery
I surveyed three levels of Civilization VI players and obtained information and conclusions from three different player perspectives
Task flow

Design goal
Encourage exploration without giving direct answers.
Provide real-time, lightweight decision support for the beginner players.
Help users quickly get started with Civilization 6 and keep interested

Players can select a learning mode tailored to their Civilization VI experience.

Players can document their findings and learning progress in a notebook linked to each civilization.

Players can directly interact with the AI during gameplay and conveniently reference specific content using a quote function.

🌱 What I Learned
Through this project, I realized how important it is to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere during user interviews. When users feel comfortable, they are more likely to express their genuine thoughts and emotions. By providing timely encouragement and feedback throughout the interview process, I was able to foster better engagement and gather more valuable insights.
The redesign in this phase focused mainly on functionality, including content architecture and flow optimization. Looking back, I see opportunities to place greater emphasis on interaction design in the future—such as user task flows, feedback mechanisms, and UI responsiveness—to further improve usability and enjoyment.
