The inspiration for this project comes from my personal experience as an interaction design student. I often struggle to find users to interview, and I’ve noticed that many of my classmates face the same challenge.

finding users to interview.

Initially, I wanted to create a platform for all designers to conduct user interviews. However, after interviewing, I identified two key challenges they face:

  1. Difficulty accessing real users – Student designers often rely on friends or family for interviews, which doesn’t provide accurate insights.

  2. Limited resources for paid participants – Without funding, students struggle to find motivated participants for meaningful interviews.

Based on these findings, I shifted the focus to create a platform specifically for student designers to interview each other, and their friends or relative.

Target

Help Student designers solve the problem of finding users to interview.

To define the project goals, I consulted my classmates and reflected on my own experiences. I ultimately set two key objectives:

  1. Assist design major students in solving the challenge of finding users to interview.

  2. Encouraging more users to participate in interviews and actively engage in the project.

Insights

Difficult to find users

Students often struggle to find target users to interview because they didn't have money and time to find it.

User lack of interesting

Lack of direct incentives and interest drives leads to designers struggling to find users willing to actively participate in research.

Connection between users and designers

Designers think it is a inefficient way that looking for users in a large area.

Target user

Unable to find a designer for user research.

After interviewing 5 people, I determined the target users and used empathy maps for analysis.

User test

Users need motivation to be interviewed

After user testing, I found that this issue is often not solely the designer's problem. Users are often unwilling to participate in interviews or simply not very interested in them.

Conclusion

Testing phase is really important for designers

This project has been a valuable learning experience. First, I learned the critical importance of task flow—understanding the app’s primary function and ensuring its effective implementation. Additionally, the testing phase proved essential, highlighting the need for iteration and refining interactions and prototypes to enhance the user experience.
